FORGIVENESS
Forgiveness is at the very heart of God meaning God forgives and wants us to forgive as well, he does what He says and forgiveness He says and does that according to His word.
Hebrews 8:12
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Letting go a wrong done to you is forgiveness , it is the will of God to forgive and wants you to forgive as well and that is as soon as you get hurt, He wants you well, He wants you to be just as He is ensuring the Holy ghost can abide there .
Matthew 5:44-48
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect
Forgiveness therefore makes you perfect, perfect here means mature, grown up in the love of God as disunity is the plan of the devil and does all that he can to ensure this is so, God wants forgiveness as it is key to your growth in Him .
Ephesians 4:32
And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Matthew 18:21-22
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
Why forgive you may ask?
You forgive because God has forgiven you, holding a grudge against another is saying to God I do not want to be forgiven, you forgive to be in good health and forgiveness ensures unity in mind and spirit with God .
Luke 6:37
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
John 5:14
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee
Ephesians 4:30-32
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Remember Jesus is Lord and salvation is free!
